Located 2300 meters closer to Heaven, we find a city filled with history, nature, magic, a millenary culture and Cosmopolitan traits. It is the second most important city in Peru and a strategic connection point with the south of the country. Tourism
Arequipa is a city favored by nature and the human hand. It has sea, deserts, snow peaks and deep canyons and boasts a rich architecture style with carvings in volcanic rock which tells the story of the colonial heritage and an indigenous past. A geographically privileged place to start travelling to the coast, the mountains or to the jungle of Peru.
Cuisine
Peruvian food is one of the best three in the world, and Arequipa is proudly its gastronomic capital. The richness of its different regions and the contribution of a history filled with tradition and human mixture makes its food a temptation hard to resist.
Weather
During most part of the year, the weather is warm, as in most valleys, with clear and sunny mornings, fresh mountainous afternoons and low temperatures during the early morning hours. In general terms, we could say that the temperature ranges between 10 and 24 °C.
Access
The city has an international airport which receives commercial flights. It has a bus station which is the center of a network of roads that links the city to the Pan American Highway and the Inter Ocean Highway.
